Welcome to the Globe Inn

Located in Herston on the northwest edge of Swanage, The Globe Inn is a traditional 19th-century Dorset pub. In May 2024, a group of local residents proudly took on its tenancy, and since then, we’ve completely refurbished and redecorated the inn to create a clean, cosy, and welcoming environment. We’re also in the process of restoring our beautiful large garden to its full glory, and we’re excited to share the progress with you. We hope you’ll visit soon to see for yourself.

Children and dogs (with responsible parents/owners) are very welcome.

When the weather turns chilly, you’ll be greeted by the warmth, crackle, and comfort of our open fires.

Our bar offers a completely refreshed selection of lager, cider, and keg ales, including Pravha, Staropramen, Madri, Cruzcampo, Thatchers Gold, Inches Cider, Neck Oil and Guinness, alongside Timothy Taylor Landlord and Doom Bar keg ales. We’ve recently added Otter Bitter to our keg ale selection, which is a lovely golden brown session bitter.

We haven’t overlooked non-alcoholic and low-alcohol options either. Our offerings include non-alcoholic lager, cider, Guinness, and gin, along with a gluten-free lager and bitter.

We have now completed the kitchen refurbishment and been awarded a 5* food hygiene rating. We will shortly be introducing our light food menu. Please see our Facebook page for the latest news.

For live sports enthusiasts, The Globe Inn is your home away from home. We’ve got Sky Sports and TNT showing on two HD televisions in the bar, plus two additional screens in our garden for special events. Outside of these occasions, you’ll find only chilled background music to enhance your experience.
